To check the transmission fluid level in your Ford Focus, first, park the car on a level surface and let the engine run for a few minutes to warm up the fluid. Next, locate the transmission dipstick, usually found near the back of the engine compartment. Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean with a cloth. Insert the dipstick back into the tube fully and pull it out again to check the level. The fluid should be in between the two marks on the dipstick. If it is low, add transmission fluid using a funnel and recheck the level.

To avoid potential damage to your car's transmission, it's important to check the fluid level regularly. Not doing so could lead to costly repairs down the road. Always refer to your owner's manual for the correct type of transmission fluid to use and how often to check the level.
