How often should I change the engine oil on my Ford Kuga?

I just bought a new Ford Kuga and I want to make sure I am properly taking care of it. How often do I need to change the engine oil on my car? I have heard conflicting opinions about how often it should be done. Can anyone provide some guidance?

It is recommended to change the engine oil on your Ford Kuga every 5,000-7,500 miles or every 6 months, whichever comes first. However, if you frequently drive in severe conditions such as stop-and-go traffic or extreme temperatures, it is recommended to change the oil more frequently, around every 3,000-5,000 miles.

Some people believe you can go longer without changing the engine oil and opt for changing it every 10,000-15,000 miles. While this may save you some money in the short term, it can actually end up causing damage to your engine in the long run. It's better to stick with the recommendation from the manufacturer.

I have personally been changing the oil on my Ford Kuga every 7,500 miles and haven't had any issues. It's important to also check your oil level periodically and top it off if needed. Keeping your engine properly lubricated will help it perform at its best.
