How to troubleshoot a Ford Mondeo's engine not starting?

I have a 2008 Ford Mondeo and recently I've been having trouble starting the engine. Sometimes it starts without a problem, but other times it just won't start at all. I've tried jump starting it but that doesn't seem to work. Any tips on how to fix this issue?

Make sure your battery terminals are clean and tight, a loose connection can prevent the engine from starting. Also, check the battery itself, it may be low on charge or even need to be replaced.
