Is the Ford Transit Custom a reliable work vehicle for tradespeople?

I work as a plumber and I need a dependable vehicle to transport all of my tools and materials. I've been considering the Ford Transit Custom but I'm not sure if it's a reliable option. Can anyone with experience using this vehicle give me some insight?
