Is upgrading to a performance exhaust worth the investment for a Ford Mondeo?

I'm currently considering purchasing a performance exhaust for my Ford Mondeo. I've heard it can improve engine power, but is it worth the cost? I'm not sure if it's just a cosmetic upgrade or if it actually has practical benefits. Would love to hear some feedback from fellow Ford enthusiasts.
