Should I use synthetic or conventional oil for my Ford Galaxy?

I recently purchased a used Ford Galaxy and I'm not sure what type of oil to use for optimal performance and longevity. Is synthetic oil worth the extra cost or should I stick with conventional oil? Any tips or recommendations are greatly appreciated.

I've had both synthetic and conventional oil in my Ford Galaxy and haven't noticed much of a difference. I think as long as you stick to regular oil changes, either type will work well. But keep in mind, synthetic oil may offer better protection in extreme temperatures.
