Troubleshooting Engine Overheating in a Ford S-Max

I've been noticing that my Ford S-Max has been running hotter than usual, and sometimes the temperature gauge even reaches the red zone. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It sounds like your S-Max may be experiencing a coolant leak or a faulty thermostat. I recommend checking your coolant levels and looking for any signs of a leak. If that doesn't seem to be the issue, it's best to bring your car to a mechanic for further diagnosis.

Another common cause of engine overheating in the S-Max is a malfunctioning radiator. Make sure to check for any debris or blockages in the radiator fins and consider getting it flushed or replaced if necessary.

In some cases, an old or worn out water pump can also lead to engine overheating. If your S-Max has high mileage, it may be time to replace the water pump.
