What causes the Ford Puma engine to overheat?

I've been having issues with my Ford Puma's engine overheating, especially during long drives. The coolant levels seem to be fine, what could be causing this issue?

There are several potential reasons for an engine to overheat, including a faulty thermostat, low coolant levels, or a clogged radiator.

I would recommend checking your radiator for any blockages and making sure your coolant is at the appropriate levels. If that doesn't solve the issue, it may be worth having a mechanic take a look.

Another potential cause could be a problem with the water pump. If it's not functioning properly, it won't circulate coolant through the engine effectively, resulting in overheating.
