What is the best oil to use for my Ford Transit Custom engine?

I recently purchased a Ford Transit Custom and I am not sure which oil to use for the engine. What type or brand of oil would you recommend and why? I want to make sure I am using what is best for my vehicle to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
