What is the best type of engine for a Ford Ranger?

I am considering purchasing a Ford Ranger and I have heard that there are different types of engines available. I want to make sure I get the best engine option for my needs. Any recommendations?

I have been driving a Ford Ranger for years and in my experience, the EcoBoost V6 engine offers the best combination of power and efficiency.

Personally, I prefer the diesel engine for towing and hauling heavy loads. It provides a lot of torque for those types of tasks.

For everyday commuting and light hauling, the standard four-cylinder engine should be sufficient. It's more budget-friendly and still gets the job done.
