What is the most fuel efficient engine for a Ford Transit Custom?

I am considering purchasing a Ford Transit Custom, but I am concerned about the fuel efficiency of the different engine options. Can you recommend the best engine for getting the most miles per gallon?

Based on my experience as a Ford mechanic, I would recommend the 2.0L EcoBlue diesel engine. It has excellent fuel efficiency and is also durable and reliable.

I personally drive a Ford Transit Custom with the 1.0L EcoBoost gasoline engine and I have been very happy with its fuel efficiency. Don't just focus on the diesel engines, give the gas option a chance too.

In my opinion, the 1.5L EcoBlue diesel engine strikes the perfect balance between power and fuel efficiency. It's what I would choose if I were buying a Transit Custom.
