Why does my Ford Fiesta's engine make a ticking noise?

I recently purchased a Ford Fiesta and I've noticed that the engine makes a ticking noise when I start the car. It goes away after a few minutes of driving, but it's concerning. Any advice on what could be causing this and if it's something I should be worried about?

Hi Samantha, the ticking noise could be caused by a few different things. It's always best to have a mechanic take a look to determine the exact cause. However, it could be something as simple as low oil levels or a loose belt. If the noise worsens or doesn't go away, I would suggest bringing it in to be checked.

I've experienced this same issue with my Ford Fiesta. It turned out to be a faulty valve cover gasket. Definitely get it checked out by a professional to avoid any potential engine damage.
