Why does my Ford Kuga engine overheat?

I recently purchased a brand new Ford Kuga, but after driving for only a few miles the engine starts to overheat. I've checked the coolant levels and they seem fine. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

Hi Emily, this could be due to a number of reasons. One possible cause could be a faulty thermostat, which regulates the flow of coolant into the engine. Another possibility is a clogged radiator, which can prevent proper cooling of the engine.

Emily, have you been driving in extreme temperatures or have you been towing a heavy load? This can put a lot of strain on the engine and make it more likely to overheat. It's important to give your car breaks in between long trips and avoid pushing it too hard.
