Why does my Ford Puma make a rattling noise when I accelerate?

I recently purchased a second-hand Ford Puma and noticed a rattling noise when I accelerate. It seems to be coming from the engine area. Is this a common issue and how can I fix it?

It's possible that the rattling noise is coming from a loose heat shield in the exhaust system. I recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic to have it checked and fixed if necessary. Better to address it sooner rather than later to prevent any further damage.

My Ford Puma used to make a similar noise and it turned out to be a damaged exhaust manifold. Make sure to have your exhaust system checked for any damage or wear and tear. Repairs can be costly if left unaddressed.

Check your engine oil levels and make sure they are at the recommended level. Low oil levels can cause engine components to rattle. Also, consider using a thicker viscosity oil if you live in a warmer climate.
