Why is my Ford Mustang's engine making a strange noise?

I have a Ford Mustang and recently I've noticed that the engine has been making a strange noise. It's almost like a high-pitched squealing sound coming from under the hood. What could be causing this and is it something I should be concerned about?

It's likely that your serpentine belt or pulley system is worn out or needs to be replaced. It's best to take your Mustang to a trusted mechanic to have it checked out and resolved.

I had the same issue with my Ford Mustang and it turned out to be a faulty bearing in the alternator. It's a relatively easy and affordable fix, but make sure to get it taken care of before it causes any further damage.

If the noise only occurs when the engine is cold, it could be a sign of a failing water pump. This is a serious issue and should be addressed as soon as possible to prevent any overheating or engine damage.
