Why is my Ford Ranger shaking when I brake?

I recently purchased a used Ford Ranger and noticed that it shakes when I brake. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it? Should I be concerned about safety? Thanks!

This could be caused by worn out brake pads or rotors. I would recommend taking your Ford Ranger to a mechanic to have it inspected and possibly replaced. It is important to address this issue as a worn brake system can affect the vehicle's safety.

Check the tires first, the shaking could also be caused by uneven tire wear. Make sure to check the tire pressure as well and adjust if necessary. If the problem persists, have a mechanic check the brakes.
