Why is my Ford Ranger struggling to climb hills?

I recently purchased a used 2008 Ford Ranger and I have noticed that it struggles to climb hills. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

It is possible that your fuel filter needs to be replaced. A clogged fuel filter can affect the engine's performance and make it difficult to climb hills. I suggest checking and replacing the fuel filter if necessary.

Another possible culprit could be a dirty air filter. A dirty air filter can reduce airflow to the engine and result in decreased power. I recommend checking and replacing the air filter if it appears clogged.
