Regularly change the oil and oil filter every 5,000-7,500 miles. Make sure to also use the recommended oil viscosity for your vehicle.

Check the coolant level regularly and replace it every 2-3 years. Low or old coolant can lead to overheating and engine damage.

Keep an eye on the engine's temperature gauge and never ignore warning lights. If the engine is consistently overheating, get it checked by a mechanic.
