What is the best oil type for a Ford Ranger engine?

I recently purchased a Ford Ranger and I'm not sure what type of oil to use for the engine. I've heard people say to use synthetic, but is conventional oil just as good? Can someone offer some insight on the best oil for a Ford Ranger engine?

Synthetic oil is generally recommended for Ford Ranger engines due to its ability to withstand high temperatures and provide better overall protection. However, conventional oil can also be used as long as it meets the manufacturer's specifications.

I've been changing my Ford Ranger's oil every 5,000 miles with conventional oil and haven't had any issues. Just make sure to follow the recommended oil change interval in your owner's manual and you should be fine.
