Why does my Ford Puma's engine make a knocking noise?

I've noticed that my Ford Puma's engine makes a knocking noise when I accelerate. It seems to be getting worse and I'm worried it could be a serious problem. What could be causing this and what should I do about it?

The knocking noise could be caused by a number of issues, such as worn engine bearings or a loose timing chain. It's important to get it checked out by a certified mechanic as soon as possible to prevent any further damage to your engine.

I had a similar issue with my Ford Puma and it turned out to be a loose spark plug. Make sure to check all the spark plugs and tighten them if necessary.

Knocking noises could also be caused by low oil levels. Check your oil and top it up if needed. If the problem persists, it's best to take it to a mechanic.
